Victory/Riverstone Beer Pairing Night
April 24th, 2008
I’m a big winner. Just ask the folks at WCOJ, Riverstone Cafe, Victory, and WC Dish. I called into the 1420 morning show and answered a couple of questions, and got a free dinner for my wife and I. Yayuh. On April 16, 6 courses of beer and vittles (plus throwback lagers during the cocktail hour) puts a hurtin on my tum-tum, but I still made it through all 6 courses with pleasure. I mean, delicious stuff - not the run of the mill cheese and crackers and pretzels, mind you, but cuisine. Bill “Victory” was there and - what a great host. He remembered a tiny bluegrass festival we were both at last summer, and the fact that we had festbeer on tap made me sound like I might know beer. I want to put in a big plug for those Riverstone people, because although Chester County does have a lot of great restaurants, a lot of them you can’t get into without a reservation at peak times, and when you do, the service sucks. The food was innovative and the courses were very different, and the people on staff were really cool. Not to mention, lots of different beer on tap and in bottles - and the flyers were on too. Can’t beat that.
